Volunteer With Us

One hour a week changes an outcome. Tell us a little about yourself and we will find the right role for you.

Ways to Help

Choose what suits your week

You do not need to be a teacher or have your own life figured out. You need to be reliable and willing to listen.

Mentor

One hour a week, term-time, for a school year. Full training and safeguarding clearance provided, with a named coordinator supporting you throughout.

Time: 1 hour weekly, 12 months

Service Day Helper

Join a monthly community service day, fundraising drive or neighbourhood project. No training needed, families welcome, lunch provided.

Time: 1 day a month

Skills & Pro Bono

Teach a workshop in your field, or offer legal, design, tech or finance expertise on a project rather than a year.

Time: Project by project

Application

Tell us about you

We keep this short on purpose. A coordinator will be in touch within two working days to arrange a friendly conversation.

A coordinator will reply within two working days. We arrange background checks privately once a role is agreed.

What Happens Next

Four steps, and we do most of them with you

From your form to your first session usually takes under three weeks.

We read your form

A coordinator reviews it and replies within two working days.

A friendly chat

Twenty minutes, in person or on the phone, to talk through the role and your questions.

Training and checks

Our volunteer training takes one evening. Background checks run in parallel and we cover the cost.

You start

You are matched with a young person or a team, and paired with an experienced volunteer.

Rather support us another way?

Funding a place or opening a door at your workplace helps just as much.
